Working life

These pics have long been overdue owing to both my laziness and my procastination which perhaps both mean the same thing at the end of the day. But its always better late than never and here's what I have been doing, apparently in no chronological order.
The family gathered at Toa Payoh Crystal Jade to celebrate Dad's bdae. I like TP's crystal jade where u can get both stuff frm La Mian XLB and the usual dim sum. Some of the array of dishes we ordered. Yummy dim sum!Met up with the gang on another day to celebrate JR's bdaeI din take pics of other food but here's the highlights! Golden roll (mango with king prawn), Dragon roll (avocado with king prawn) and phoenix roll (salmon with king prawn)The bdae boy and his cake. I am proud to have him as a fren and I am sure he will go farWent off to New Asia Bar. My first time thereFrom my hp camera, this is wad Nicholl Highway looks like from the 72nd storey of SwissotelAnd this's National LibraryThe Cathay! I had a wonderful time with u pple!Jap dinner at Waraku one day after wrk.

I love the food at Waraku!

Brought the gals to New Asia Bar (again). Same setting, different company but still same amt of fun

Every Fri is our 'Eat well day' This was at Dian Xiao Er

From Dear's fren's blog, we discovered this restaurant with very nice chinese cuisine at a very affordable price. Wah, I seem like I am advertising for them but the prawns (top left) is a must-try! Working does have its privileges in that we get to eat well once in awhile.

I get irritated when it rains. Because our choices of lunch gets limited. We were unable to get out of ORQ and here's what I had one day that set me back by $10.

This turned out rather funny because my bro tricked mi to use this toilet. Look at the two pics which says 'Male'. Was almost caught in an embarassing situation when i entered the one on the right w/o much thought and saw a lady! Turned out the 'Fe' from 'Female' has been removed. Heng she nv call police. Hahaha!

The 'Crab'. See what the sun did to mi?

That's all for the pics in my hp. Penang training still to come so stay tuned if you are interested! If not, dun bother...

Day 5 of HK

The view out from our hotel. Notice the difference in architecture and state of the buildings.
I think i was rather glad to be heading for home at this pt having missed my home for 5 days
And so we had our brunch at the nearby teahse. We ordered two shares instead of three since the portions were always so large
Dumb dumb me tried the tea that was supposed to be used for soaking the cutleryAnd then we were off to Fa Yuen St for some last minute shopping!
I like this pic! Taken on the way back to the hotel
We went back to the hotel bar to chill while waiting for the bus to the airport. They were having 1-1 for every customer. And they had to 'throw face' by laying out their last min buys on the couch as part of our daily ritual
I tried to enter the pic and succeeded!
满载而归
I allowed the gals to chose their donuts while i slacked
I always see this in HK serials that i had to have one taken too! Gdbye HK!
This 5days had flashed by in a whim. Sounds cliche but being away from my family made mi realised how impt they are. At the same time, I was thankful for Dear's company and of course her sister who put up w my nonsense. Of course, I enjoyed the shopping too! So many new stuff that till now, I haven worn some.

HK Day 3 and 4

Yes, I admit to pure laziness in hindering my progress in blogging abt my escapades in HK. Well, if you are still interested in reading abt it, here goes...

Day 3:
Bright and early! To the mahjong shop across the hotel! Pity that till now, I am yet to try e new set!
Our sumptous brunch at a teahouse nearby. Cheap + good!
Trooped off to Kwun Tong for some factory outlet shopping!
Needed the toilet and there was none in sight. We found a modern shopping centre beside the MTR station though. APM Millenium Centre!
See wad i mean when i say modern?! TV screens even while you pee!
We found Krispy Kreme by chance!
After resting our feet and filling our stomachs with donuts, we were ready for some exercise. The Adidas and Nike factory outlets were supposed to be in some rundown industrial buildings. We combed almost the whole building by stairs to locate any bargains.
We were pleased to find that the Nike Factory Store was not as rundown as the Adidas one. Here's us very pleased with our buys!
We met w the twins' fren, jh for some cheap and good food @ Temple St
Just check out our buys. I remember being out of money even before the end of the day!

Day 4:
As usual we woke up around brunch time. We saved quite abit eating just 2 meals a day.We explored the vicinity and settled on this place which sells 'fast' chinese food. Unforgettable meal which i almost devoured a chipped porcelain piece.Trooped off to Fortress Hill in a bid to find a factory outlet selling Polo Ralph. Disappointed though. The MTR stations are so unique. See the stall selling tarts and the colourful notices along the way?Tsim Sha Tsui next specially to buy birds' nestWe will always have room for Xu Liu Shan do we?Snacking in between shopping along Granville RoadDinner was at a noodle shop which sells humongous and yummy meat ballsLadies' Street for one last burst of fire!We spotted the familiar character in the distance. Being our last night, we decided to hang outThe colourful characters of Charlie Brown Cafe

Desserts + Drinks

Day 4's shopping. I managed to cut down tremendously!
