Day 6 China (哈尔滨,大庆)

End of yet another day here in China. Time seems to fly by, however, there's still about 7 days more before I return to the sunny shores of Singapore. Its 1025pm local time here in 大庆 and on a friday when I am supposed to rejoice at the thought of weekend, I feel lonely suddenly. My teammates have been fun to hang out with. But here, alone in the hotel room, I suddenly thought about my home and everyone who means sth to mi. Trying to grit my teeth to finish this and return.
That's us at breakfast. That's just some of what was ordered. I am sick of the food.
While waiting to go for our FA sighting, I took some pics.

We spotted a disco on our way! Apparently a place for youngsters.
A block of flats.
We stopped en route to drilling site for lunch. This was a river that has been frozen.
And a boat that was being converted into a restaurant.
One of the boats that has little use on ice.
Can't imagine travelling 6hrs alone. Thank god for YH's company during e 6hrs.
Where to Captain?
I was praying that the snowman will not break.
I tried to see Singapore from here but failed.
I decided to camwhore after the meal. 6 dishes of fishes. Eeww..Scary!
That's us again at the drilling site.
Night fell in just half hour. This was taken at about 430pm.
Being sick of the food, I requested to have KFC.
And my request was granted!
4 of us ordered this! (Portuguese egg tarts in case u do not know what's those in e foreground)
and this!
and lastly this!
This sums up day 6 of my trip. On a day where I did so much travelling to the site. The car was travelling at easily an average of 140km/h in the wilderness, hitting a high of 183km/h. It was quite nervewrecking seeing the driver go through the darkness at such speeds. Seeing sights that we took for granted only made mi realise how fortunate we are back in Sg. At the turn of the switch, the lights turn on or the turn of the tap and water flow out. Wait till u travel through a long stretch of wilderness where the only lights come from the headlights of cars. Tomorrow is a wkend for most but unfortunately, I will be working. To all back home who are bracing up for peak, all the best! Let's just suck up this shit together and look forward to off peak!
