Ramblings from the jaded soul

Where the soul gets jaded by the day,
somehow i've to keep the demons at bay
The survival of the fittest they call it,
Lose your grip and goodbye you bid.
I smile at the world and make merry,
Eating, laughing and living joyously.
Behind the mask that hides the true self,
only when darkness fall do I leave my shell.
We do not always get what we want,
at times I just want to run.
Running would not help things,
neither would it make one king.
As you can probably see by now,
things are not going too well
Like the sun emerging after a rain,
Oh when can I smile again?

Success tastes especially sweeter if you have experienced failure many times. Unfortunately, there is no success to talk about, perhaps only failure to accompany.
